Instead of digging through logs, ask Meliy what has changed, what helped, and what patterns are emerging.

Designed to help parents understand behaviour through evidence-informed, explainable insights.
Co-founded by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA).
Built with an understanding that children's needs and behaviour change over time.
Every insight is linked back to the moments and patterns it was drawn from.
Insights are drawn from your child's unique patterns, routines and experiences.
meliy is a clinically-informed app for parents and caregivers of children. Instead of just logging what your child did, meliy helps you understand why it keeps happening — so the next thing you try is the right thing.
It's built on Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), the same evidence base clinicians use, made warm and simple enough for a busy weekday morning.
Every behaviour has a reason it sticks around, a function. meliy looks at three things: what was going on just before (the trigger), the behaviour itself, and what happened right after. That's the A-B-C pattern from ABA.
Log a few of these and meliy starts to surface the likely reason, for example, that the meltdowns cluster around transitions rather than tiredness. You see the pattern, in plain language, with the working shown.
meliy was co-founded by Dr. Nadine Hempkin, who holds a Doctorate in Child Psychology and is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). Every clinical decision in the app, the behaviour framework, the strategies, the language, is reviewed and signed off by her.
That clinical grounding is the whole point: the insights come from the evidence, not from guesswork.
No. meliy doesn't diagnose anything, and it isn't a replacement for advice from your GP, health visitor, therapist or behaviour analyst. It's designed to help you understand everyday behaviours and try gentle, evidence-informed approaches.
If a situation looks serious, anything where your child or someone else could be hurt, meliy will point you towards proper professional support rather than try to handle it itself. Always your call
It's built to be fast. In the moment, a quick logtakes a tap or two, you choose from simple prompts for what was happening before and what happened after, no typing required. When you've got a calmer minute later, you can add a full log with more detail if you want to.
You can also keep track of the basics that shape behaviour; sleep, naps and feeds in the same place.
Insights in The Whyare earned. They build up as you log. In the first few days you'll see less, because meliy would rather show you nothing than show you something it isn't yet confident about.
After a handful of entries the patterns get clearer, and meliy will only name a likely reason once the evidence genuinely supports it.
No. Meliy gives you a lens, not a verdict. Any suggestion is framed as an experiment to try, drawn from approaches clinicians and other families use. You stay the expert on your own child; meliy just helps you see the pattern more clearly.
Yes. You can add each of your children and log for them separately. meliy keeps every child's patterns and insights completely separate, what it learns about one child is never mixed into another's. The why you see is always specific to that child.
Yes, this is built into how meliy works. You can invite your partner or co-parent to share a child, so you both log to the same record and both see the same patterns and insights. No more comparing notes from two different apps.
The important part: you share one shared vocabulary. When one of you logs "asked to stop or switch," it means exactly the same thing when the other one logs it, so your observations add up into one clear picture instead of fragmenting into two half-pictures.
Yes. Your child's behaviour doesn't only happen when you're watching, so meliy lets you bring in the other trusted adults in their day, a grandparent, a childminder, a nursery key worker.
Because everyone logs against the same shared vocabulary, those extra observations strengthen the pattern rather than muddy it, and you get the fuller picture of how your child is across the whole day, not just the hours you're there.
Your family's data is treated with real care. It's stored in the UK, and meliy is built to meet UK GDPR and the ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code (the Children's Code), the standard specifically designed to protect children's data online.
Your logs are yours: they're used to give you insight into your own child, not to be sold on.
There's a free plan to get started, and a premium plan, available monthly or annually, that unlocks the full set of insights and features. You can explore meliy and start understanding your child's behaviour without paying anything.
